2019 marks the tenth year that Mission Critical Systems will be holding our annual tech shows in South Florida and Atlanta, Georgia. We love seeing our clients and vendors in one place, and we have relationships that have spanned the entire ten years.
Since this is our Tenth Anniversary, we wanted to switch some things up, try some new stuff, and hopefully start some new traditions!
The first thing the astute observers will notice is the name change; in the past, we have called our event the “Information Security Technology Showcase.” While this name has served us well, we wanted to reflect the new direction of the show, build some excitement, and modernize the language.
Speaking of building the excitement, the venues are a huge new change for our show. Why not hold our event in a location worthy of… oh, I don’t know… THE SUPERBOWL?! That’s right! Our shows will be at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Georgia and The Hard Rock Stadium in Florida - the locations of the 2019 and 2020 NFL Super Bowls. Ballrooms at hotels are nice, but we wanted something deserving of our awesome clients!
The next significant change is the way the show will work. Like most technology shows, we had breakout sessions where the attendees could go and watch a short presentation from our vendors. However, as our vendor list grew, the time available for presentations grew shorter while the number of tracks increased. This caused our attendees to have to choose between which technologies they wanted to see.
We wanted our attendees to be able to learn about all our vendors, not just a few. So, we put our heads together to figure out how we could accomplish this. We threw out the tracks and instead have four moderated panels throughout the day. There will only be one panel at a time with about six vendors in each panel. Each panelist will get to talk about their technology, then a discussion will be led about the future of cybersecurity and how each technology will handle the new threats that occur every day.
Finally, the last significant difference will be “booth time.” We know the show is all about learning about new tech and how that tech can help your business. Most of those conversations happen at the vendor booths. We want to give you plenty of time to have those valuable conversations. Also, for the first time, we will have a Mission Critical Systems booth staffed with Security Engineers ready for your questions.
However, don’t worry, we haven’t changed everything! Parking is still free, we will still have awesome door prizes, and everyone’s favorite Happy Hour will still happen at the end of the day.
The show at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida will be on April 9th with doors open at 8:00 am. The show at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia will be May 11th with doors open at 8:00 am as well. Take a minute and register now. It is free, and we can’t wait to see you there!
